Julie Indest—Sales Specialist

Julie joined the Champagne Jewelers staff in August 2010. Julie has worked in retail for a couple of years and has spent many hours training on jewelry product knowledge to assist customers. Julie says, “My favorite part about working at Champagne Jewelers is meeting all the customers. Each one has a different story and building relationships with the people in order to help them compliment their treasured pieces or discover the piece that will mark their upcoming milestone is a true pleasure.” When it comes to meeting customer standards, Julie makes sure to hear the customers’ needs and make their item a reality.

Julie Champagne—Former Owner

Julie has been a member of the Champagne Jewelers family since the 1970s as a sales specialist. She later married Mr. Charles Champagne and soon began managing the Slidell store while Mr. Charlie ran the Covington location. After Mr. Charlie passed away, Julie closed the Covington location and focused all her energy on the Slidell store where she continued to serve St. Tammany Parish with the tradition of Champagne Jewelers. When Julie decided it was time to retire, she chose someone she could trust to uphold the Champagne name. Julie and Amanda worked together for years and when she sold the business to Amanda, Julie knew her family business was in hands of someone who would continue the integrity customers have come to know and trust. The generational experience is one we are proud of at Champagne Jewelers and Julie continues to be apart of this tradition as she makes frequent visits to the store.

Amanda Hover—Owner

Experience is a strong point for this new business owner. Amanda has managed stores within large retail corporations, but she found her niche in the family of independent jewelers. She says, “Our goal is to give each customer the feeling of coming home when they walk in our door.”

The most exciting part of being a new business owner is “carrying on the tradition,” Amanda says. Champagne Jewelers thrives on being the best. There are generations of customers that have made Champagne Jewelers part of every milestone and the staff loves sharing those stories and values the importance of each individual’s history behind their jewelry.

Amanda travels across the country and to Antwerp, Belgium (the diamond capitol of the world) choosing a unique variety of jewelry—something for everyone. St. Tammany Parish is constantly evolving, and Champagne ’s willingness to grow has kept generations of customers feeling confident and excited about their jewelry. Along with exceptional pieces, customers leave with the promise: “We are going to take care of you!”

Amanda knows the importance of one-on-one relationships with the customers to meet their standard of excellence. She is continuing this relationship with current customers and developing new relationships with those looking for the personal and special feel of a jeweler who is willing to listen and customize their vision of the perfect gift!

Debbie Callens—Consultant

Debbie has been a valued staff member in the Slidell location since 1999 where she acted as a manager and sales specialists. Debbie is a spirited participant not only at Champagne Jewelers, but throughout the Slidell community. She is actively involved as a Life Teen Core Team Member at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and numerous organizations since her “retirement” from Champagne Jewelers. Now, Debbie assists during holidays and special occasions and is a familiar face you will find when you walk through the door. Debbie’s constant dedication and willingness to assist in the success of Champagne Jewelers is much appreciated. She is truly an asset to the Champagne Jewelers family.

Vicki Lloyd—Jeweler

Dedication is a leading characteristic of our jeweler. Vicki has been with Champagne Jewelers since November 11, 1976 starting out in the Covington, Louisiana location and following the store to it’s permanent move in Slidell, Louisiana in January 1999. Our jeweler handles repairs, customer orders, buying and selling of jewelry, ear piercing and much more. Vicki can do many repairs while you wait! Because she values customer service, often times you will find Vicki taking time to talk one-on-one with customers to ensure that their jewelry repairs and customizations are clearly assembled and the voice of the customer is heard.

Cheryl Scaglione—Sales Specialist

Cheryl has been a member of the Champagne Jewelers team since Christmas 2004. With years of experience in managing stores within retail corporations, Cheryl knows how to assist customers with comfort and care. Through her family relationship with the Champagne’s, Cheryl found a true talent in selling jewelry. With a passionate and dedicated disposition, customers truly know they are getting the facts from this fun and reliable sales specialist. Cheryl knows the importance of working with customers and getting them exactly what they are looking for in a piece of jewelry. Shara Stroyewski—Bookkeeper

Shara began working at Champagne Jewelers for an after school job in the spring of 1999. Through the years, her valued presence has evolved from sales specialist, to jeweler’s assistant, and now as our bookkeeper. Shara’s talents keep the store running smoothly and allow for us to meet the needs of the customer’s in a timely and secure fashion. Often Shara will return to work as a sales specialist during the holidays. Her concern for not only Champagne Jewelers, but also the customers as a whole is something to be admired. Shara believes in the success and tradition of Champagne Jewelers and has continued to make the store a part of her life for many years. She knows the value of trust and understanding, and this is exhibited throughout her bookkeeping and customer service.

Betty Hodge—Administrative Assistant

Betty has been a friend to the Champagne family for years and now is continuing the tradition by working with new owner as the administrative assistant. Betty began working in 2006 at our current location to assist with the organization of paperwork and files. Customers may not see Betty, but she masters the checks and balances of new inventory, invoices, and much more. We at Champagne Jewelers understand the importance of the behind the scenes employees and truly appreciate the work and diligence Betty provides.
